Terms of Service
Last updated August 24, 2026
By creating an account or using UptimeHelm, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
UptimeHelm monitors websites you add to your account and reports on their availability, TLS and domain expiry, and a set of passive, safe checks described in the Security & Scanning Policy. It also offers a no-login public checker that runs the same kind of passive check against a domain you type in.
Your account
- You are responsible for the domains you add to your account and for keeping any alert routes (webhook URLs, email addresses) you configure accurate and under your control.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, including team members you invite to a site.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use UptimeHelm to:
- Monitor or check a domain you do not own or do not have permission to monitor.
- Attempt to use UptimeHelm's checks as a vector for scanning, probing, or attacking infrastructure - the service is deliberately limited to passive GET/HEAD checks and refuses to reach private or internal network addresses; attempting to circumvent that is prohibited.
- Abuse the no-login public checker or any other part of the service in a way that exceeds its published rate limits or degrades the service for others.
- Use the service to violate any applicable law.
Service availability and accuracy
- UptimeHelm is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Checks run on a schedule and are a best-effort signal, not a guarantee - network conditions, DNS, or issues on UptimeHelm's own infrastructure can delay or miss a check.
- UptimeHelm does not control, and is not responsible for, the uptime, security, or content of the websites it monitors or checks.
- UptimeHelm's own uptime is not guaranteed under any service-level agreement.
Suspension and termination
UptimeHelm may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate the acceptable use terms above, including abusive or unauthorized use of the checking infrastructure. You may stop using the service, and remove your sites, at any time.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UptimeHelm and its operator disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service, including damages related to downtime that was not detected or alerted on in time.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The Last updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of UptimeHelm after a change means you accept the updated terms.
